Take Control

The first company in Australia to provide consumers with online access to credit reports.

How will positive reporting affect credit scores in Australia?

Australian credit reports now include your credit history. Not just any defaults or court judgments as in the past, but also every payment you make on time on loans, mortgages, credit cards, mobile phone contracts and more.

This means that lenders and mobile phone providers will have heaps more information to base a decision upon than ever before.

Credit scores will now be calculated on how you are managing credit. For most Australians that means that the extra information will result in a welcome improvement to credit scores.

Better credit scores mean wider access to credit – you’ll have a better choice of credit cards for example. Better scores also mean cheaper interest rates – good payers will no longer have to subsidise bad payers.

You can check your credit report for free here to see whether your lenders and mobile phone company have started to report your balances, limits, and payments to the agencies every month.
